What a great place! Just what I needed to unwind and relax. Hot tub was wonderful just to sit and watch the leaves fall. I can not say enough and highly reccomend it to our friends. I also want to thank Ian and his friends for stopping and helping us when our van broke down. Thanks agian and good luck with your new cabin! 11-12-06

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin and all the info about riding. Fonda was terrific and the horses were beautiful and gentle. She took us up a gorgeous mountain. The secluded view was wonderful. We both enjoyed your warm and inviting hot tub after the long ride in the mountains. Thank you agian for everything! 10-15-06

We just got engaged yesterday up on top of Natural Bridge. Tara thought we were going on a camping trip, but I had her fooled! After our engagement we came back here to HoneyBearLove. The place was perfect. Ian had a dozen roses waiting on the table(arranged beforehand). Nice candlelit dinner-then champagne at the fire circle. Thanks, we'll be back! 10-13-06

Your cabin was absolutely wonderful! It was decorated nicely and very well supplied. I felt like I was staying at a friends house instead of a rental. The view was great too, along with the hot tub and the fire pit. We couldn't have been happier! 9-06

"Amazing!" Everything from the cabin to the view was perfect! We are so glad that we came here for our vacation. The kids had a blast at the beach and really enjoyed the campfire. Now Ryan and I can't wait to come back w/o the kids!

This is my absolute favorite cabin. Ive spent many times there. Ive always had fun. My mom works out at the cabins and I help in the summer and ive been to every cabin and this is by far, my favorite cabin. I hope to have many more fun summer times as I grow up.

Our whole group agreed that in our many years of gathering together, we gals LOVED staying at your Mtn Memories cabin, and will be making a reservation for the same time mext spring! We might even make a Fall Fling for the first time, as we had such a fine time with the incredible view, the relaxation of the hot tub, and are glad that 5 of us had the option of massage therapy on our getaway. It was spacious enough for our big group - and that has been a difficult thing to find in this area. We will be back for more, for sure!

Wow...an unbelievable cabin to stay at during a visit to Red River Gorge! Mountain Memories is even more beautiful and serene than the pics, and is perfectly situated at the end of the resort. After winding down a long day of hiking, boating, and fishing, this cabin is THE ONE you can't wait to return to: Large sectional to watch the flat-screen HDTV (with HD DVD player), 8-person Calderra hot tub to relax your muscles, nice fire pit area with endless firewood, and did I mention THE VIEW?!? Dear Ian, We just wanted to let you know what a great time our entire family had staying at this beautiful cabin. The view was spectacular and the quiet was a sweet repose from our hectic life here in the city. Our friends who visted for afew days were taken back with the areas beauty and the setting of your cabin. If someone could taylor make a vacation for our family, this was it! We felt so pampered in this beautiful cabin, my DREAM home. The view is absolutely amazing! Natural Bridge is a must-see . Our host, Ian, shared stories of the abandoned town in the gorge, as well as little known historical areas and carvings within walking distance of the cabin. From the upper deck we enjoyed the sunrise and then incredible stars at night. You can't see any buildings or highways, this is truly a retreat. Ian, thank you so much. With all the stresses put on a family these days, this was a real boost for us. Your hospitality is second to none. Thank you...

We had a great time at shooting star. There were six of us and we had plenty of room. There is only one bath room and that was the only thing that we didn't like. It was off by it's self, it was something else to wake up to a yard full of turkey and deer, and close to a lot of fishing, which i have to say lake valerie was the best! ten pound cat and four pound bass. We all had a great time. We thought that we would have to take my grandfathers car keys away to keep him there because he would rather be home, and he didn't want to leave! That's saying something. We look forward to coming back again and again.

Our recent stay at this Grandview mountain resort was positively wonderful!! The cabin itself is luxuriously large, with high ceilings and a wonderful log cabin feel; it has a spectacular view, and (my favorite!) a wrap around porch to die for. The cabin was immaculate when we arrived, and the staff were friendly and helpful. This cabin is truly a mountain-lover's dream home!

I really enjoyed my stay at the cabin. The name says it all. But not only did it have a grandview of the area, but also of the stars at night. I've looked & photographed stars before, but the view of the milky way there was much better than anywere else I've been. It would be hard to find a better cabin for a photographer. Many great photo opportunities there.

Ian, I just wanted to write about how nice our stay was; as you know we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary while we were there, & the cabin was great. The view is truly GORGEous. Mike & I have always dreamed of owning a genuine log cabin up in the mountains, & while we were there our dream felt so real. We talked about the grandkids we would someday have coming to visit us at the cabin and roasting marshmallows at the camp fire. The back porch is fantastic; from there you feel as though you are alone. Even though my disability did not allow us to take advantage of all the outdoor activities this area is so rich with, we still enjoyed our stay. We went out to dinner at the lodge, took a long drive around the gorge, & sat under the stars.

Thank you for personally checking on us when we called; it’s so nice to know you live at one of the cabins on property. When you came over, it was like getting a quick visit from a friendly neighbor. We stayed at Bear Necessities and had an incredible time! The hot tub was so relaxing and the kitchen was probably better furnished than mine at home! Be sure to read the blue book on the coffee table as soon as you arrive - lots of good info in there!!!!

We had such a great time staying in your cabin Bear Nessesities! We loved the hot tub after our long hikes and enjoyed the fireplace as well! The cabin and all the accessories made our weekend getaway very fun and relaxing the location was very convienent for our trips to The Natural Bridge and Gorge. Can't wait to come back!

Ian and Sandy, Thank you for making our 3-day (my daughter and I) so pleasant and relaxing at Laughing Owl. The cabin was gorgeous and the kitchen had everything and more that we needed. Even though this cabin is close the road we had very little disturbance from passerbys because of the placement of it and truly felt we were all alone. We can't wait to come back. (Next time I am brining my husband. :)

Almost Heaven is a beautiful cabin! We made our annual trip to the gorge and had a fantastic time - again. We had some great talks around the fire pit, the kitchen was well stocked and the cabin clean. We could have used more bath towels! We love our weekend at the gorge and will be back next year!

Hello! I have been meaning to send you an e-mail and finally have gotten around to it. I know from my experience in dealing with the public, many times you only here when things are not good, and I wanted to make sure to give you some positive feedback. My girlfriend Lori and I stayed at the “Almost Heaven” cabin on Wednesday, June 9th. I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the cabin. The cabin was clean, well stocked and the perfect place to relax after hiking all day. The scenery was beautiful, and the hot tub was awesome. As this was Lori’s first trip to Kentucky, I definitely wanted her to enjoy her stay and you folks certainly helped make a great first impression. Thanks for everything, and we’ll hopefully be back sooner than later!

My private retreat was a special time of prayer and relaxation. Lakeside Dreamzz afforded me the opportunity to just be in a home-like atmosphere. A pileated woodpecker was my teacher as I had the time to watch and pay attention. I am so greatful!!

Have stayed in many cabin rentals and the What-A-View cabin met all expectations on the view. We had a problem with the downstairs A/C (there's A/C units for both up and down stairs). Called Ian and the problem was fixed by 2:30pm the next day (bad capacitor). We arrived late on the first day and called the next morning at 8:30am. I was impressed that as remote as the cabin is we were able to get the A/C fixed so quick. The covered porch is very nice, with fans and protects you from any rain storms. Only my wife and I at the cabin, but it can easily manage two couples or a family. Outside speakers, with well placed fire pit, was also my personal favorite. Make sure you have all the supplies you need before arriving at the cabin. There's not much around for groceries, especially fruit and vegetables. If you want privacy this is one cabin that will not disappoint.

Absolutely amazing place. We stayed here from 7th June 2010 for 3 nights. The cabin had all the comforts of home, and the most amazing views. Hot tub and fire pit were an added bonus. Can't wait to visit here again and will definitely book the same cabin.

Thank you so much for presenting this cabin to us. The cabin provided such a beautiful view of both the lake and the cliffline that borders the lake.
