The Mountain Chalet is a great, rustic cabin that is roughly 10 miles from just about all the major trail heads. It's very comfortable and well maintained and has all of the amenities needed for an extended stay. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay. I would caution about having more than 2 couples stay; it can sleep 2-4 comfortably, but the pull out bed is not good for adults, it is very uncomfortable. You may want to bring extra blankets if needed because they are not supplied.

My family and I came down for a weekend to hike and relax and we had a great time! The cabin perfectly accommodated the four of us. There was plenty of room to cook and enjoy our meals. Also, the cabin is in a great location relative to the hiking trails in Red River Gorge. We have recommended it to our friends and they will be coming down in the beginning of next year! Thank you so much!

We stayed here for 3 wonderful nights. Wonderful might be an understatement. This cabin is located just outside the resort, in a secluded, beautiful, peaceful area. The back patio overlooks a ridge, and the entire area is full of lovely trees. Everything was as pictured: the hot tub (absolutely secluded), wifi, cable--all of it worked great. We even did some baking and grilling--again, everything was great. We'll be staying here again, for sure.

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous! The surrounding rock and forest is so charming. The hot tub on the second story facing the waterfall is perfect. The drive down to the cabin is not easy, so the sturdier your car is the better. Otherwise our stay was perfect.

Great cabin at which to stay with a beautiful view of a little waterfall, a lovely fire pit, and comfortable lodging. We did have some issues with the wifi a couple nights, but it was easy enough to just turn on the TV; just be aware of that if you rely on wifi for communication. Also, there is one extremely steep hill that you must drive up to leave the site; we saw several cars slip back down and ours had to be towed once. Obviously, this is not the cabin owner's fault, but just something of which you should be aware before you, say, place all your luggage in the trunk (stupid mistake on our part). Cabin was 5/5 stars and an overall great experience.

My friends and I spent a weekend at this cabin in March and had a fantastic time despite the rain that persisted all weekend. The cabin was spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and most of all in the perfect scenic location. The hot tub looking over the waterfall was the perfect touch to make this cabin a winner. Just a few minor notes: 1) the "gravel drive" to get to the cabin is actually a 1/2 mile drive down a winding one car road. I would definitively recommend a truck. After all the rain trying to make it up the hill became a bit of a concern, but we did make it out in our Civic and Camry. 2)the kitchen could have benefitted from a few more items. Mainly any other spice besides salt and pepper. 3) the dish tv really only had 3 channels besides sports and on demand. These are all small concerns in comparison to the awesomeness of the cabin itself. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away for a weekend!

Beautiful cabin! Beautiful property! Close to natural bridge. We had eight people comfortably, you could probably have 10-12 if you wanted. love the second story hot tub. It's perfect wish it was mine! We had a great time. You will too!
