Located right outside of Ciffview Resort and located within minutes from the Red River Gorge Zipline, Natural Bridge State Park, Muir Valley and the Red River Gorge itself. Hikers Retreat is a small, one bedroom cabin with one bathroom, kitchen, living room and loft with a futon. There is a covered deck to sit and enjoy your days in the peace of nature, and in the late evenings you can rest after a long day of hiking and climbing in front of the fireplace, reminiscing of the day's adventures.

The cabin was great. Well stocked and very clean this was a perfect place to stay.

Beautiful, well maintained and immaculately clean. The kitchen is amazingly well-stocked; we brought stuff we ended up not needing at all (after reading previous reviews). A minor personal thing: there are no blinds or curtains in the living/dining areas (bedroom and bath excepted), so nighttime could be a teeny bit unsettling if you're not used to that kind of thing. It's secluded enough, however, that privacy isn't an issue at all. All in all a wonderful experience... Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful location and the fresh sweet air was refreshing. We loved the hot tub after a day of hiking. The staff at the resort couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Cabin was clean well maintained. We want to return someday. Thanks for the memories!

We rented this cabin for our honeymoon in October 2013 (sorry for the tardiness in leaving a review) and words cannot express how much we enjoyed it! We are already planning many anniversary stays! I highly recommend this cabin to anyone! It was perfect

Hikers Retreat was just that a 'retreat'. Right away I noticed the fresh mountain air with the smell of Cedar trees and a hint of something sweet. The cabin is beautiful and serene. Pictures don't do justice to this little oasis. It was easily accessible. Looking forward to a return trip!

My boyfriend and I just stayed here for two nights to celebrate my birthday and it was wonderful! We've stayed in several cabins here and this one has been my favorite. Very clean and well kept. Perfect size for two or four. The only thing I'd suggest is bringing a skillet if you plan on cooking something that requires one (like pancakes). The closest thing provided is more of a shallow saucepan. Otherwise the kitchen is very well stocked. Definitely a great cabin!

I've stayed in probably 10 cabins in the gorge area; this one is my favorite for 2 people. Absolutely beautiful inside and out! Great location to the area trails and attractions. The open kitchen area is so practical, as I like to take food with us and do a lot of cooking. I also appreciated the fact that it was an easy in and out from the parking area, and there weren't a ton of stairs to haul our coolers and goods up!

July 2012 This is a fairly new cabin. Very clean. Absolutely beautiful on the inside and out. Perfect for a family of 4. Just minutes away from Natural Bridge and Miguel's Pizza. Prior to our trip we were concerned about the loft being too hot, but the kids slept in the loft and they said it was fine. The road getting to the cabin could use a little work, but other than that we would highly recommned this cabin for a peaceful getaway.
