Looking for a group space? Check out Middle Fork Lodge in the heart of Red River Gorge nestled in Natural Bridge State Park. This rustic style two story, 3-BR 2.5 bath, large cabin sleeps up to 8. It has sunny rooms with vast picture windows throughout the house framing in the beautiful views of the surrounding forested hills. Geared for hosting large groups, the main floor has two living areas. There is seating for up to 16 comfortably on 2 large dining tables in the grand room and a 4 seat table located in the living room. The dining room has a large vaulted ceiling with towering windows showcasing the fantastic view. There is also an 8 foot slate pool table in the grand room. The living room has another table for playing any number of the provided board games, puzzles or dining.
Upstairs has 3 bedrooms: Master Bedroom 1 has a king bed and a private full bathroom with shower stall and a reading nook; Bedroom 2 has 1 queen bed & 1 twin bed and has a private door to a balcony that is shared with Bedroom 3 which has 1 queen bed & 1 twin bed. Both Bedrooms share a full bathroom with shower stall and a reading study. The laundry room is also on the top floor
Amenities include: WiFi, Satellite and Smart TV, DVD player, plenty of couch seating AC, Laundry Facility with Washer & Dryer. The large spacious kitchen has all of the amenities including refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, two kitchen sinks, electric oven range with lots of countertop space. Outside is a 5-6 person hot tub and propane gas grill all on a large deck lined with plenty of patio furniture and privacy,. Cabin comes ready with all bed linens and one towel per person.
Middle Fork Lodge is connected by decks and wooden staircases to several other cabins including: The Chalet, Rumford Place, Bird Nest and Butterfly Suite. It is a great central location as located behind the Natural Bridge State Park campground area. You can hike 26 miles of Natural Bridge State Park without needing to drive! The Cabins of Quiet Waters is in a private setting at the dead end of a private access road and shares no neighbors besides those of Quiet Waters; it is a great headquarters for your family reunion or mountain retreat.
There are stairs to get up to this cabin and then set of stairs to get to the bedrooms. Quiet Waters Cabins are easily reached with 2wd drive vehicles, all paved roads with a large, flat parking area. Middle Fork Lodge is part of the Quiet Waters complex which abuts Natural Bridge State Park, the epicenter of all tourism attractions, local restaurants, climbing, hiking, Off Roading and state park trails.
Special Note: Near the property, you will find a cemetery that is part of the Natural Bridge State Park. You are welcome to visit it, but we ask that you be respectful of the property.
Pet is allowed with payment of $50 pet fee. Owners request pets who are trained and not allowed on beds or furniture. Pet must be crated if left alone in cabin.
Access is easy for 2wd car on paved roads to a very large flat parking lot.
Must be able to walk up stairs and must be sure footed on stairs as the outside stairs can get slippery when wet. All Stairs have railings.
