Discover the unmatched, natural beauty of the Red River Gorge, amongst the stars! This cozy tiny house is similar to camping, but with a much more comfy place to lay your head. Experience the excitement of outdoor living, but without the need to pack a tent!
Situated along the Red River, inside the protected Daniel Boone National Forest and only minutes from the famous Nada Tunnel, outdoor enthusiasts will love the convenience of this location. “The Cub House” is located at Red River Adventure Campground, a quiet and serene locale for anyone looking for a peaceful vacation exploring the Gorge.
Inside this tiny house, guests will be pleased to find a queen size bed suitable for up to 2 guests, a mini-fridge, a toaster oven with air-fry capabilities and a drip-style coffee maker. A portable air conditioning unit helps to cool things down. Although the house is not insulated, it is situated underneath some good shade trees.
Outside, a small porch area with seating (partially covered) allows for tranquil nights alone or with a partner. Grill dinner on the park-style charcoal grill or roast some marshmallows around the campfire.
Take a stroll down to the entrance of the campground to book a kayaking trip…guests are shuttled to the boat slip a few miles upriver and you can land right back where you started! No trying to find parking or lugging your own kayak! The tiny house is only steps away from the river itself, but there’s no designated landing spot past the campground.
A few things to know…
-The campground does NOT have access to potable water. You need to pack in your own. Nada Spring is just a couple miles down the road. Locals have used it for their own water source for years. Bring your own container.
-There are Porta Potty toilets within a short walk of the tiny house. Please bring toilet paper. No showers available at this time.
-You will see bugs. It's their world and we just live in it! The tiny house is not insect-proof.
