The Solitude

Nestled amidst the beauty of Daniel Boone National Forest rests this secluded vacation rental cabin, boasting 1 bedroom, 1 bath, a full kitchen, and endless outdoor space for fun! There are lawn games on-site, as well as both a fire pit and small pond. When you’re ready for some adventure, walk over to the Kentucky River, drive to the beautiful Red River Gorge, explore Beattyville’s Main Street for unique shops and local restaurants, or simply relax on the deck admiring the forest views.

Inside, you’ll find a compact, yet full-size kitchen/living room. Full size appliances make cooking for the family a breeze. A dinette table for quick breakfasts, Keurig coffee maker for starting your day right and a futon couch for lacing up your hiking boots, all make this space perfect for staying in or heading out for the day’s adventures. One large bedroom with TWO full (double) beds and one full bathroom to round out the space is just right for up to 4 guests.

Outdoors, the ample deck space overlooks a sweeping meadow where kids and adults alike can enjoy volleyball, frisbee golf, cornhole or Smores around the firepit. Lawn games for the kids add more fun to the trip. Any outdoorsman would be perfectly content utilizing this cabin as a home base as well.

Note: The meadow is a shared space amongst 3 cabins, including this one. The pond, kayaks (river use only), volleyball, Frisbee Golf and corn hole are all shared activities/spaces). Each cabin has its own private fire pit. No fishing, swimming or kayaking in the pond.
